Stages of Change

Why don’t they just do it? Is there anything more frustrating than watching someone resist a necessary change? Whether it’s quitting a bad habit, starting a good habit, or accepting needed help, we all struggle sometimes to do what we know we should do.
Why is change so hard? Come join us for a conversation about the stages of change. We will discuss how motivation works and learn strategies to best support ourselves (and others) on the journey. Please Call the Reception Desk to register. Free

Mind(full) Aging: Share Space/Grief

Loss is an inevitable part of living and loving. It is painful, ever-changing, and too often experienced in isolation. Share Space / Grief is a confidential group where we will hold and share space with others who are going through the grieving process. Each group will focus on a particular type of loss.

May 26: Companion loss (friend, pet)
June 2: Family loss (parent, partner, child)
June 23: Aging related loss (due to health conditions, mobility issues, loss of independence)
June 30: Anticipatory loss / caregiving-related losses

NOTE: These groups are funded by the City of Shoreline. All are welcome; however, priority is given to Shoreline residents who meet income requirements. Please call 425-382-3015 for more information and to register.
