Tour of Area Senior Living Facilities
Pickup at 11:30 am, return at 1:30 pm (exception: Maple Leaf Assisted pickup at 11:45 am, return at 1:45 pm)
August 1, 8, and 22
Each host will provide transportation from the Senior Center to their facility.
Spaces are limited, so make your reservations early. Reservations are a MUST! Call the Senior Center at (206) 365-1536 or come to our Front Desk.
Six area Senior Living facilities are offering tours so you can learn more about their services and living options.  Each facility will provide transportation from the senior center to their site.  All tours will include lunch.  We hope you, your family, friends will take advantage of this great opportunity to see “what’s out there.”  Visit them all or just one!
  • August 1: Maple Leaf Assisted Living (9001 Lake City Way NE, Seattle).  Lunch & tour. Pick-up 11:45 am, return 1:45 pm.
  • August 8: Rosewood Courte Memory Care (728 Edmonds Way, Edmonds).  Lunch & tour. Pickup at 11:30 am, return at 1:30 pm.
  • August 22: The Savoy at Lake City Senior Apartments (13730 Lake City Way, Seattle). Lunch & tour. Pick-up 11:30 am, return 1:30 pm.

Scarecrow Video brings classic movies as part of the Silver Cinema Project.  Free admission and free popcorn!  "The goal of the Silver Cinema project is to share our collection, of of the world's largest film archives with the elder community, via screenings and discussions. The types of films that we tend to show are golden age Hollywood classics of the 40's and 50's. Each screening is introduced by one of our movie experts, and informational fliers about each film are available for viewers to take with them."

Come to the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center this summer on the 3rd Friday of the
month, and settle in to listen to short stories, essays, and poetry read by librarians from the Richmond Beach and Shoreline Libraries.  The guest librarian will select some favorites to read to you and then open the floor to anyone who has a tale of their own to tell.  At the end of each session you can help us decide what to read next month!  There will be tea and cookies served to make for a lovely summer time story hour.  Let us know if you'll be coming.
