The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center and the Arts Festival, June 23 & 24.

The Annual Arts Festival is held on the Shoreline Center Campus, 18560 1st Ave NE. In addition to the Senior Center events there will be over 70 vendors at the Market Place, live entertainment at the Showmobile, a beer Garden and lots of food trucks! Several art exhibits will be held throughout the venue.

Yipee! The famous Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Festival Breakfast is back! Start your festival day off with lots of power from a hearty Senior Center stack of pancakes (chocolate chip, blueberry or plain) or maybe a Belgium Waffle…..then of course, you could fill up with the Shoreline Scramble. Chef Donnie and his volunteer crew look forward to serving you a wonderful meal, so join us in the senior center dining room 8:30 am to noon, both days.

Starting at 9:30 am our crew will open the Bargain Corner Thrift Shop that will be open all day until 5:00 pm, both days. Store Manager, Gina Boetes, promises some terrific Arts Festival specials. There’s bound to be a treasure just waiting to be discovered!

Once again the ThimbleBelle Quilt Group will have a display of the most beautifully designed and creative quilts. Among them, of course, is the debut of this years’ Holiday Bazaar quilt, Asian Inspiration. They are beginning raffle ticket sales during the festival; the drawing will be held on Saturday, November 4th. Sales for this quilt, created every year, go to the Senior Center.

This year, we are pleased to have the Korean and Taiwan cultural rooms at our center. Please welcome them and come see all of the special art, clothing, and activities they will be presenting.

The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center is located in the southern-most building at the Shoreline Conference Center, 18560 1st Ave NE #1, (206) 365-1536,  We are a Community Partner of Sound Generations.

Senior Center Holiday Bazaar: Openings for Table Vendors

The Annual Holiday Bazaar at the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center will be held Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4; 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, both days. This event is a Shoreline community tradition that is attended by over 2,000 people. They look forward to getting an early start on some unique gifts for their holiday shopping. This year, the center is pleased to be able to open a new area for vendors.  Potential vendors must meet certain criteria in order to be considered:
  • All items must be handcrafted by the applicant and of good quality.
  • No commercial crafts or imports accepted.
  • A photo of your craft/work must accompany your table rental application if you have not been part of previous Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center Holiday Bazaar events.
  • All items must be new.
  • An 8’ table and two chairs are provided, more upon request.
  • Applications must be submitted by August 11, 2017.
To request an application please contact Jon Ann Cruver, Program Coordinator, available Wednesday through Friday, or call us at (206) 365-1536.  We make every attempt to minimize duplication of items for sale. In case of duplication, earliest postmark will have first consideration; the senior center will have the final say. In addition to the vendors, the Bazaar features our ThimbleBelle Quilt Raffle, Silent Auction, and Bake Sale. The Center’s Bargain Corner will feature holiday items as well as the Shop Specials during both days of the event. WHERE:  At the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center, 18560 1st Ave NE, #1 Shoreline, WA 98155.
